Weapons Guides

There are many weapons available in 9 Dragons they all fit into one of these categories.

Axes
Bracers
Daggers
Fans
Gloves
Polearms
Sabres
Scythes
Staves
Spears
Swords
Wheels

Each of the Clans specialise in at least 2 of the above categories so beware when you choose you clan you are also choosing your primary weapon as the clan Kung Fu will reflect only those weapon types.

Each type has its own damage bracket, Str,  Dex and Level requirements, Balance as well as durability. As you use you weapon the durability will reduce until is broken at that point you will need to take it to a blacksmith and pay for it to be repaired. Its worth noting that you can use a weapon above you level but it will degrade quicker and you damage will be reduced.

Balance reflects the number of external wounds you receive while using the weapon. The higher the Balance the lower the chance of you receiving external wounds

All weapons go up levels in types for example the first type of axe is a Black Axe the next a Jade. Except for the first level weapon which is called a training weapon there are normally 8 Quality levels to each type each with slightly higher stats these are:

Crude
Damaged
Worn
Normal
Good
Damaged
Fine
Superior

When Refining a weapon you have a higher success rate if the weapon is Superior Quality than if it is Good. The Higher the Quality the better the chance for success.

There are also Precious and Rare weapons which are only available as monster drops, and Masterpieces and Artefacts which are only available as quest rewards.

You may also find Slotted weapons these have spaces to fit weapon ornaments.

Tools and Ornaments can be bought from General Store vendor in Villages throughout 9 Dragons if you need a guide to fitting an Ornament there is one in the Game guide section.

You may also Refine a weapons using Dragons blood at the weapons refiner in Hefei this increases the Damage of the weapon and improves Balance there is a risk however that the weapon may break and will be lost forever. For more information on refining see the Game Guide Here.
